The first annual IG2BYITM “It’s Good to Be Young In The Mountains” conference was held in Harlan, Kentucky this past weekend, August 14-16. It was a great event with smart, creative and energetic people of all ages. Panel discussions and group sessions focused on people in high school and college.
Zoé Strecker had a table promoting the Lavish! collective embroidery sculpture project. Lots of people signed up to learn more, take embroidery and tambour classes in the Fall, and to work on 8″ pieces right away.
